The Wild + Free Farm Village is a part of Histo-

rytellers Productions, Inc., which is a charitable

non-profit organization under Section 501(c)3

of the Internal Revenue Code.

Your gift may qualify as a charitable deduction

for federal income tax purposes. Please con-

sult with your tax adviser or the IRS to deter-

mine whether a contribution is tax-deductible.

Items shown in this catalog are for the sole pur-

pose of illustrating goods and services used in

projects at the Wild + Free Farm Village. All

contributions designated for specific projects

will be applied to those projects and up to 10

percent may be used for administering the gift.

If we receive more or fewer funds for a given

project than can be applied, we will use those

funds to meet a similar pressing need. Contri-

butions are solicited with the understanding

that Historytellers Productions, Inc., has com-

plete control over the use of all donated funds.

The story of the Farm Village is a miraculous one. Two years of search-ing for the right property. Raising funds for a place we hadn’t found yet. Finding something completely out of our price range. And then seeing the owner drop the price by millions of dollars so we could acquire it.

This isn’t just our story. It’s your story. The entire Wild + Free community came together to make this dream possible. Now it’s ours to steward for the next generation of families.

Since acquiring the Farm Village last year, we’ve painted and repaired the lodge, remodeled the Forest Cabin, built a mountaintop fire tower, and hosted several retreats and family festivals.

This is a place where families are brought closer together, mothers and fathers are strengthened and encouraged in their roles, and children are given the space to run wild and free.

After being shut-down by the pandemic, we lost all of our revenue for an entire season. It was a huge setback, but we don’t believe for an instant that we were brought all this way for nothing. We have big dreams for the Farm Village and are inviting you to be a part of the next chapter.

We created this catalog to cast vision for the Farm Village and share how you can help bring some important projects to life. In exchange for your support, we’ve put together some fun giving perks as a token of gratitude. Will you help us raise the needed funds by December 31st?

At Wild + Free, it all started with the mamas. We bring them together for week-

end retreats and lavish them with encouragement, good food, and deep friend-

ships. We want to make the Lodge a comfortable respite where mothers can be

filled up for the homeschool journey ahead.

We have only 52 beds in the Lodge, but we can accommodate hundreds of peo-ple in campsites throughout our 197-acre property. We’ve been working with Highland County to become permitted as a campground so we can host camp-ing festivals to bring families together.

Looking after 197 acres is both a blessing and a challenge. There’s always some-thing breaking down, and the wilderness is constantly trying to take back what it once had! We want to reclaim the beauty of this remarkable property one acre at a time for families to experience and enjoy.

The road in front of the Farm Village was laid upon the dirt tracks from wagon ruts. This is the land of early settlers who tamed this place and built bright fu-tures for their families. We don’t know who built the Spring Cabin on our prop-erty, but we can honor their sacrifice and restore their work by turning this log cabin into a comfortable place to stay and house our staff.

The Wild + Free Lodge was built by a notable psychiatrist who sparked the modern hospice-care moment and then gave the prop-erty to a youth camp, which ran the place for 30 years. The building has seen better days, but we have dreams of transforming it into a farm-inspired lodge with an improved entrance, open-air lobby, and private family suites.
