Christmas Gift Bags for Jail Ministry Each year we prepare 250 gift bags for the Forsyth County Jail inmates and staff. Included in the bags is a Christmas card from Grace Chapel, a pair of white socks, and 3 homemade cookies. We will bag up all the items on the 21 st after worship. We need 72 dozen HARD cookies...no fudge or soft cookies are allowed. We will have a cookie sign-up sheet in the foyer starting Sunday December 7 th and all cookies need to be delivered to the church building by Sunday the 21 st . Each year we have a tremendous response and hope to see the same this year! Let the kids help! Any leftover cookies will be donated to Meals by Grace. Thank you Russ Schoper & The Jail Ministry Team! Please help us keep the building clean and tidy by removing your coffee cups and other trash following worship and class. There are trash cans conveniently located throughout the building, including the lobby. Thank you for your help. Search Update: We will resume the survey updates next week but this week I wanted to update the church on where we are in the process. The committee has collected and vetted 17 recommenders. A recommender is a very well-known leader at a church of Christ and/or university that understands and appreciates pulpit ministry and leadership. They are theologically compatible with our congregation and the direction we are moving for the future. Search committee members have reached out during the holidays and contacted the recommenders. They were sent the job description as well as a GCCC brochure that describes Grace Chapel Church of Christ. The committee will meet on December 13 th and will start reviewing the candidates submitted. Our goal will be to narrow it down to the top 2 to 3 candidates shortly after that meeting. We will keep everyone posted. Thanks Tim Aligheri, Search Committee Chair Claudia Sosa, Alfredo, Aury and Joshua Gonzalez Brad, Carisse, Zachary, Ethan, and Joshua Ballard
