Christmas Eve

We also sing carols.

We put the Crib under the tree, we see

beautiful exhibitions of them, too.

Sometimes families go to a Midnight Mass.

We celebrate Jesus’ birth.

Christmas Day

The families get together for have lunch or dinner. We often have lamb for lunch.

Fool´s Day

• We celebrate Fool’s Day on 28th December.

• We play jokes on other people.

New Year’s EveWe always have dinner

with our relatives.

At midnigt we eat 12 grapes, one with each stroke to welcome the

New Year and bring good luck to us. Then,

we have a party.

We drink cava and make resolutions.

Epiphany

On 5th January in the evening everybody goes to the streets to welcome the

Three Wise Men.They bring us presents and throw sweets

from decorated cars.

• We usually have “roscón” for breakfast. Inside you can find little presents. We open the presents on 6th January.

• These days we also have special desserts like:

“polvorón”,

“turrón”,

marzipan...
