Mark

And these signs shall accompany the ones who believe: In my name they shall cast out demons, shall speak in tongues, they shall take up snakes, and if they drink any deadly drink, it shall by no means hurt them, they shall lay their hands on the sick and they shall get well. (Mark 16:17-18, the Scriptures)

James

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the presbyters of the church, and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Master. And the prayer of belief shall save (heal, make whole) the sick, and the master shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another, so you shall be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous one accomplishes much. (James 5:14-16)

Healing is a sign of the Kindgom

• It is God’s will that we be made whole.

• We are healed on three levels, physical, mental, and spiritual.

• Often mental and spiritual needs come before physical.

• Often if a person took a long time to get sick, it will take a long time to get well.

• Not everyone truly wishes to be healed.
