Stewardship Bulletin Bit“For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be
God’s will, than for doing evil.” —1 Peter 3:17
The old line says, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” Many of us are diligent in our planning and making sure things are progressing smoothly. Then disaster strikes, and we don’t get the result that was intended, or an unforeseen problem arises. Many times, we may respond negatively and ask, “Why me? I did everything right!” Here’s the thing – adversity humbles us and reminds us of our dependence on God and not on our own self-reliance. Rest assured, God has a better plan in store for you.

NEW WAY TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING OUR PARISHWe have had requests to accept electronic transfers of funds to our parish by email. That would be fantastic! The following information is what the parish office will require from parishioners to process donations:1. Name of parishioner2. Phone number3. Envelope # if possible4. Amount of money designated for each collection: Church, Building Fund, or Special Collection (Vocation Sunday, Development & Peace, Papal Charities, etc.)5. Total amount of donation (one amount is all that is required)As long as you have e-transfer set up on your bank account, you can add the parish email. Then in the comments, specify your envelope # and designate which collection(s) you wish to contribute to and the amount.
Please keep Msgr Rey in your prayers as he is awaiting hear t bypass surgery
in Regina.
FUNDRAISING FARMERS IS ON AGAINGreat news—we have once again secured both lands (160 acres) to plant lentils in 2020. This project is a big fundraiser for our parish, but we need your help to put it into motion. Please contact the parish office (Tues-Fri, 9-11am or 2-4pm) if you are able to make a financial commitment. One of the rewards will be a complimentary harvest supper!
CATHOLIC EDUCATION WEEK 2020The Catholic School Divisions within Saskatchewan will celebrate Catholic Education Week 2020 like never before. The remote learning environment we are living in during Covid-19 times will be filled with our theme, Igniting Hope.
Materials are being developed to share via various platforms to engage students, families and communities. These include: video conferencing, social media, email and websites. The materials include daily prayer and reflection as well as suggested social media posts.
THE GARDEN PROjECTThank you to all the parishioners and Knights of Columbus who helped plant potatoes. It was a beautiful day and lots was accomplished. There are plans to also plant corn, beets, onions and spaghetti squash.
Registration for Kindergarten 2020-21All Saints Catholic School is still accepting registrations for the 2020-21 Kindergarten year. Forms are available online at www.htcsd.ca — just look for “Registration Information” under the “Parents” tab on their home page. HELLO TOURMrs Zanidean and her staff at All Saints Catholic School miss seeing the smiling faces of their students so they went on a Hello Tour!
On Thursday, April 30, staff decorated their vehicles and took to the streets to visit the students they miss so much.
They were greeted with energetic waves, big smiles, a few tears of joy and many signs of encouragement and love. Both students and teachers are truly blessed!
LITURGY OF THE WORD ON MAY 21Archbishop Don Bolen will preside at a special Mass to celebrate World Catholic Education Day on Thursday, May 21 at 11am. The theme is “A People of Hope.” Mass will be livestreamed and recorded from Resurrection Parish. You can find the link on our website or at:https://livestream.com/accounts/17094656
A Prayer to Mary (Prayed by Pope Francis)
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us—he who took our sufferings upon himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of Resurrection. Amen.
