Matthew Crane, our Pastor Next weekend, in the back of the parish buildings of our Company, there will be sign-ups for the book clubs I mentioned in an earlier column. Each sheet will be headed by the name and municipality of the generous hosts and hostesses who are opening their homes for these gatherings. Also, each sheet will indicate if the group will read Mere Christianity or The Screwtape Letters. After the groups are formed, books will be distributed and dates will be selected. Each group will read the book and gather afterward for a discussion. Hoping the powerful hope of a Christian, I am going to try to make sure the groups gather at times I can gather with them. Even though it makes me look like a nerd, I admit a book discussion is the sort of thing I enjoy doing. And let me again remind each of you that the Festival of Forgiveness is on Friday, March 4, from 10 AM to 10 PM at St. Ann’s in Wadena as well as a few other parishes around the diocese. Especially because this event may limit the number of confessors we have on the 6th (not all priests are indefatigable), please take advantage of this opportunity and bring along someone who needs an experience of God’s mercy.
