Took the lead role in co-ordinating the visit of a team from the BBC to film onboard in the

remote waters around the Falkland Islands resulting in a 5 minute piece on their nightly news

programme.

Acted as media handler for the BBC team and Army Media Officer throughout their stay.

Led lines to take and interview skills workshops with those onboard selected to be featured.

Produced a high quality monthly newsletter for release to Senior Officers, friends, families

and affiliates.

Produced Press Releases on a range of issues and liaised with MOD and Fleet Media teams

to facilitate their further distribution.

Liaised with local press outlets such as Penguin News as well as with the tri-service media

cell at HQ British Forces South Atlantic Islands.

Liaised with regional news organisations as well as establishing links with relevant local

news organisations back in the UK to generate press coverage of ongoing unit activity.

Worked closely with the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) to bring into practice a

Memorandum of Understanding between the Royal Navy Fishery Protection Squadron and

the MMO relating to press coverage of fisheries enforcement and legislation.

Acted as media handler for the visit of the MMO Chief Press Officer and her team.

Produced A Day in the Life of a Marine Enforcement Officer at the request of the MMO.

Produced Press Releases on major stories such as the rescue of a Dutch yachtsman following

an explosion in the North Sea and the launch of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

amongst others resulting in local and national news coverage.

Acted as the liaison between Fleet Media and the Commanding Officer to organise radio

interviews following the previously mentioned rescue operation in the North Sea.
