Trench rollers are versatile machines ideal for trench work or for compacting soil and stone in confi ned spaces. Our fl eet of trench rollers, from market leading brands, has working widths from 560 to 1,200 mm. Clee Hill Plant’s extensive fl eet of pneumatic tyred rollers includes machines in a range from 4 to 27 tonnes. The larger machines can work with ballast to accurately match the machine’s operating weight to the application. Due to their excellent kneading effect pneumatic tyred rollers achieve an excellent sealing of the surface. Pneumatic tyred rollers are used on applications such as highway and airfi eld maintenance, the compaction of cementitious materials and surface dressing.
Surface dressing is an established highway maintenance technique. It involves spraying an emulsion binder onto an existing road surface, the laying o f aggregate chippings and the compaction of the chippings into the binder. The Phoenix chip spreader, shown above, lays the aggregate chippings and offers a variable width to suit the road conditions. Combination rollers and rubber coated self propelled rollers, as well as pneumatic tyred rollers, are also used to compact other highly specialist surfaces.

Any piece of Clee Hill equipment can be hired with ‘Waiver’ using thescheme, negating the need for your own insurance cover. The policyis easy to administer and good value.
We offer the policy in conjunction with Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Broking, an expert in the fi eld of plant insurance.

Clee Hill Plant has been at the forefront of introducing intelligentroller systems in the UK. The system we offer supports roller driverswhen compacting by measuring the asphalt temperature, as theyroll, and monitoring the number of passes over the pavement. Thishelps prevent under and over compaction.
The system can also use GPS data, from one or more machines, to enable the location to be stored electronically together with the asphalt temperature and number of passes for future reference.
The system is easily fitted to rollers providing a level of efficiency and functionality that transforms the productivity and assurance of the compaction process in critical applications.
Tracking systems are increasingly being used in constructionequipment to manage fl eets, plan maintenance and to enhance safety and security.
Clee Hill Plant offers a system which incorporates accurate GPStracking, as an option on all hire plant. This enables hirers to check usage and location of machines remotely from any internet enableddevice.
‘Geo-fence’ and ‘time-fence’ warnings can be set which ensures that the machine you hire will not be used ‘off-site’ or ‘out-of-hours’enhancing site safety and security.
