“Choose for Yourselves this Day”

Joshua 24:14-15▪ Fear the Lord▪Proverbs 1:7; Ecclesiastes 12:13; Acts 10:34-35;

▪ Serve in Sincerity▪ Ephesians 6:24; I Timothy 1:5;

▪ Serve in Truth▪ John 8:31-32; John 4:24;

▪ Put Away other gods ▪Mark 4:18-20;

We Have the Power to Choose

Joshua 24:14-15 – (14) Joshua tells them that they should

fear the Lord, serve Him, & put away other gods.

(15) Yet, they still have the power to choose what to do.

Hebrews 11:24-25 – Moses had the power to choose the people of God over the riches in Egypt.

Isaiah 65:12 – “chose that in which

I do not delight”

Psalm 119:30-34 – “I have chosen

the way of Truth”


We Have to Make a Choice

Joshua 24:18-19 – Joshua tells them

that they cannot serve God and foreign

gods.

Matthew 6:24 – “No one can serve two

masters”

Matthew 12:30 – “He who is not with

Me is against Me”

Matthew 7:13-14 – “Enter in by the

narrow gate; for wide is the gate…

that leads to destruction”

Matthew 7:24-27 – “hears these

sayings of Mine, and does them”



Each Individual Must Choose

Joshua 24:15 – “choose for yourselves this

day whom you will serve”

Ezekiel 18:20 – “shall be upon himself”

Romans 14:11-12 – “each of us shall give

account”

II Corinthians 5:10 – “we must all appear

before the judgment seat of Christ”




Today is the Day to Choose

Joshua 24:15 – “choose for

yourselves this day”

II Corinthians 6:2 – “Behold, now is

the accepted time”

James 4:13-15 – “It is even a

vapor”

Joshua 24:15-24 –

(15) “as for me and my house, we will serve the

Lord”

(16) “Far be it from us that we should forsake the

Lord”

(18) “We also will serve the Lord, for He is our God”

(24) “The Lord our God we will serve, and His voice

we will obey!”





Joshua and the People’s Choice

What is Your Choice?

Will you choose to serve the Lord in sincerity and truth?

Will you obey God that may have become His child and have the hope of heaven?

Will you reject God and His invitation?

Whatever your choice, you must choose.

Believe in Jesus (Romans 1:16)Repent of Sins (Luke 13:3)Confess faith in Christ (Romans 10:10) Be Baptized in Water (Romans 6:3-4)

Grow and Be Faithful (Matthew 10:22) If err, repent and pray to God (Acts 8:22)
