Chocolate Fountain Instructions A minimum of 5 bags of 1.75 lb. of chocolate are required for optimum performance. Each bag of chocolate serves approximately 22 guests. Only chocolate supplied by the manufacturer can be used in the machine. No substitutions allowed. 1. Chocolate needs to be completely melted before putting into the machine. It can be microwaved, please see instructions on the bag. 2. Flip both of the switches (One switch is to run the motor and the other keeps it warm) When the machine is powered on, it will make a very loud rattling noise. This is NORMAL and will quiet down once chocolate is flowing. Be sure the “spiral” rod in the center is spinning properly. If it isn’t, please see the troubleshooting tips below. 3. Pour the MELTED chocolate into the large basin. 4. Adjust the temperature knob to its highest setting to keep the chocolate flowing. Add more MELTED chocolate as needed. Adding unmelted chocolate will cause it to malfunction. 5. Clean: Wipe out any visible chocolate. Do not submerse in water or take the machine apart. Troubleshooting Tips: If the flowing chocolate is uneven, use the leveling feet to adjust (caution, unit may be hot). If it continues to rattle or the chocolate is not flowing to the top properly, turn off the machine and carefully (using protection if hot) lift up on the small rod at the top and spin to re-seat it into it’s slot— you’ll feel it drop down.
