Book Launch

Hishamudin Yunus: Celebrating Judicial Independence

Early November saw the launch of Hishamudin Yunus: Celebrating Judicial Independence, an insight into the legal mind of Dato’ Seri Mohd Hishamudin Yunus, currently a consultant at Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill (LHAG). More than 200 guests — including the Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tan Sri Richard Malanjum, and the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, Dato’ Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof — attended the event.

The Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, who wrote the foreword to the book, officiated the launch. The book, a compilation of commentaries by leading legal figures, was edited by Tax, SST & Customs partner S Saravana Kumar and discusses some of the landmark rulings by the retired Court of Appeal judge, who wrote more than 700 judgments during his 23 years on the bench. It was published in conjunction with LHAG’s 25th anniversary. LH-AG
