Day 1 I Panama City Welcome to Panama! Upon arrival at TocumenInternational Airport you will be transferred to your hotel in Panama Cityfor check-in. The remainder of the day is yours at leisure to explore andget to know the capital of Panama.

Day 2 I Panama City After breakfast, your half day tour takes you to themost interesting places in the city. You will see the ruins of Old Panama,climb up the Cathedral tower, visit the Old Panama Museum and thencontinue to Casco Viejo (the old city compound), which dates back to thelate 1600's. Casco Viejo is home to the monuments of Ferdinand deLesseps and other Frenchmen instrumental in the ill-fated attempt of theFrench to construct a canal through Panama. Then, we will continue witha visit to the Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal, where large shipscan be seen transiting the canal. Enjoy a presentation by the PanamaCanal Authority about the history of the Panama Canal and marvel at theworkings of this feat of human engineering. Afterwards, lunch will beserved at a local restaurant. The tour then continues to the Panama Canalarea, including the town of Balboa, a former part of the Panama CanalZone. In the late afternoon you will return to your hotel in Panama City.(B,L)

Day 3 I Panama City I Boquete This morning, transfer to the airport foryour flight to the Chiriquí Province. Upon arrival you will be transferred toyour hotel in the charming highland village of Boquete. (B)

Day 4 I Boquete In Boquete, you have the unique opportunity to visit acoffee plantation and learn about the process of coffee. Our guide willexplain the whole process from the picking by the Ngöbe Bugle Indiansto the cup while you walk the coffee fields and learn about the coffeeplants and how the coffee beans are harvested and processed. We willtour one of the local farms in Boquete where you will be able to admire aclean and modern environmental processing plant. The tour ends in thecoffee cupping room in the old mill, where we will taste and cup theproduct of all the work and craftsmanship. (B)

Day 5 I Boquete Today we will hike part of the famous Los QuetzalesTrail, one of the most scenic trails in Central America. Walking throughbreathtaking landscapes varying at different altitudes, you will have theopportunity to spot a variety of trees, plants and bird species, includingthe Quetzal and Magpie Gorgiplateada, amongst many others.Afterwards, enjoy a scenic adventure starting with a drive into the valleybehind Boquete town. During the drive you can admire the countrysideand coffee farms as you climb into the valley. Upon arrival you will begiven a briefing about the 5km loop that will take you over 5 Skywalkbridges ranging from 1,600 – 1,800 meters over sea level. Walk throughthe treetops of the cloud forest, keeping your eyes open for exotic birdspecies and other animals native to the area. Admire the extensive
