Library Study Zone and After School Clubs

We also offer ‘Study Zone’ with supported ICT access in the school library every evening from 3.15

– 4.15pm. This is an opportunity for students to complete their homework in a supported environment, browse the extensive range of books available, or read and have quiet time.

Late Night TransportLate night transport is available at 4.20pm Monday – Thursday. Students must sign up for this free transport during lunchtime.

Buses may be cancelled if no one is signed up. Please note, parents are responsible for their own child’s transport at other times.

School ClubsThese clubs take place during lunchtime or straight after school and are run by Departments. Students do not need to sign up, but can just go along. Please check details with your teacher at the beginning of term.

These clubs range from revision clubs, sport clubs, Art, Design & Technology, Drama and Music Ensembles.

Extra Time ClubsExtra Time Clubs are run by teachers or external coaches for a duration of 10 weeks starting Term 1, 3 and 5. They take place after school between 3.05 – 6pm. These clubs range from sports and cookery to drama. Students can sign up to these clubs by returning a completed booking form (see back page of booklet) to the finance office and arranging payment.

Extra Time Clubs start w/c Monday 16 September 2019 Be the best that you can be!

These activities enrich and extend learning to help every student achieve their potential. We are proud to offer a wide variety of Extra Time and school clubs

through the week at Chipping Norton School.

General InformationIf your child is attending a later club they can stay at school and use the ‘Study Zone’

facilities, or attend one of the other after-school clubs offered. Some children choose to go home and come back to school for later clubs.

Swim for £1Every night after school you can go

to Chipping Norton Leisure Centre and ‘Swim for £1’ 3.05 – 4pm.

Funding InformationWe are extremely keen that all children have an opportunity to take part. We do not want any child to miss out on Extra Time Clubs because of financial restraints. If your child is in receipt of Free School Meals or the

Pupil Premium Grant please tick the appropriate box on the booking form and Chipping Norton School will pay half towards the Extra Time Club cost.

When you pay for a club please use ParentPay wherever possible. Cash and cheques are also accepted. Please write your child’s name and tutor group on the back of the cheque. Please remember, when you have

paid for a club you must still send in your child’s Extra Time Booking Form to the Finance Office in order to be booked onto the course.

We know that you all enjoy the clubs and appreciate the wide range of opportunities which are available to you. Please be reminded of our

expectations:

• Be on time, respectful to your teacher and engage fully. • Be smart and wear your school uniform or PE Kit. • Enjoy your club and use it to develop yourself.
