The Years

• Specific years of the (animal) happen every 12 years.

• So if the pig happened in 1983, it would happen again in 1995.

• They are also assigned elemental tags, being; fire, earth, metal, water, wood.

The Rat (Shǔ nián)

• People born during the year of the rat (Shǔ nián) are considered to be cheerful (Kuàilè), charming (Mírén) and welcome (Huānyíng) everywhere. They are also considered smart (Zhìnéng), wealthy (Fùyù), and will work for success.

• Their weaknesses however are; inability to lead (Bùshì gè hǎo lǐngdǎo), they are timid (Dǎn xiǎo) and lack concentration.

The Ox (Niú nián)

• People born during the year of the ox (Niú nián) are considered to be honest (Chéngshí), industrious (Qínláo), patient (Bìngrén) and cautious (Jǐnshèn). They have a strong will and faith.

• Their weaknesses however are as follows; Poor communication skills (Gōutōng bù chàng) and dislike speaking.

The Tiger (Hǔ nián)

• People born during the year of the tiger are considered to be tolerant (Kuānróng), staunch (Jiāndìng), valiant (Yīngyǒng) and respected (Zūnjìng de). They also gain people trust more easily.

• Their weaknesses are as follows; Short-Tempered, unwilling to engage in long conversations and are recklessly hasty.

• I found out that my Chinese Zodiac sign was the Rat! (Wǒ de zhōngguó shēngxiào shì shǔ!)
