Florence nightingale, by name lady with lamp (born may 12, 1820, Florence [Italy] died August 13, 1910, London), foundational philosopher of modern nursing. She established the first scientifically based nursing school - “the nightingale school of nursing” at St. Thomas hospital in London. Florence nightingale is remembered throughout the world for her heroic, almost superhuman labors in the field of nursing. She gave nursing a highly favorable reputation.

Agnes Gonxhabojaxhia, later known as mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910 at Skopje in former Yugoslavia. Mother Teresa popularly known as the “saint of gutters” today stands as the brighthest star in the horizon of the great personalities of the world. She epitomizes service, dedication and love for the poor and the abandoned. Her selfless service to the cause of the poor and the sick won her international recognition. She was awarded the nobel prize in 1979. She remains as a ever shining beacon, showing us the true path of living.

Florence Nightingale Mother Teresa

“I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly, to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug. I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician, in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care.”

Nightingale Pledge

“Nursing is not only a profession it is a work of consecrated love, because you are dealing with life. That is created in the image of God.”

Tears are not made without value, provided one sees a purpose in their shedding. As the morning rose is sweetest when embalmed with dew, so love is loveliest when embalmed in tears. One is at his worst if he falls into despair; but one is at his best, if, humbled, he cries to God for help. Purify oneself and work hard, success will be your on profession.

Wishingyoueverysuccessinlife.
