Transformation

• Chinese transformed in many ways.• Politically, they are no longer the communists they once used to be. Wh

en China became communism country in 1949, especially in Mao Zedong’s period, many people died and were unfairly treated. Some lost land in a day, and others lost jobs in a day.

• China transformed its appearance as well. In the 1980s, the roads were quite with bicycle riders, but now the streets are full of cars and buses. The houses were cramped, single-story dwellings made of clay and bricks are gone. High buildings and highways are seen now.

• There were time when Chinese became so poor because under the communism, nobody gets reward for their hard work, so people didn’t give their best at work. Also, IMF hit Asian countries. But the government is gradually practicing free enterprise system and the economy is getting better.
