OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD PICK UP A SHOEBOX
It is time to start packing your shoeboxes. Every gift-filled shoebox is a powerful tool for
evangelism and discipleship-transforming the lives of children around the world through the Good News
of Jesus Christ! A filled shoebox is the first gift many children have ever received! The treasures and personal letters inside communicate that someone cares for them and gives them
an opportunity to experience the love of God. 2016 marks our 5th year as a Relay Center for Operation Christmas Child. Help us surpass our goal of relaying over
500 shoebox gifts from SW Las Vegas! For more information or to volunteer during collection week,
contact Jil Gertz at 702-275-4458, [email protected] COLLECTION WEEK IS NOVEMBER 14TH-21ST.
BLOCK PARTYCommunity Outreach Challenge
In order to meet the need for community in our neighborhoods, Good Samaritan families have been
hosting block parties for their neighbors and they have been a huge success! We now invite YOU to join us in this mission. We will provide the funds, you provide the
fellowship! Your neighbors will enjoy good food, good company, bounce houses for the kids if requested, and fun
for all! Contact Pr. Don at 702.241.7392 [email protected] for more information or to “donate” your front yard for an afternoon that will help build community in your community! You can also sign up on your friendship
form or on our website, www.goodsamlv.com.
Tuesday Night Bible Study - Election Night Please note that our Tuesday Night Bible Study will not be
held this week on Tuesday, November 8th. We look forward to seeing you when we resume meeting the
following week on Nov. 15th at 7:00 PM.

evangelism and discipleship-transforming the lives of children around the world through the Good News
of Jesus Christ!
