Nothing pains me more than hearing about a suffering child. Sadly, there are more than

200,000 allegations of child abuse and neglect reported every year in Florida alone. Each victim making up this overwhelming number is not a statistic but, rather, a hurting child with a devastating story.

Much of my passion for the Children’s Home Society of Florida Foundation stems from a strong belief in contributing to the needs of children and their families, a value my wife, Sonnia, and I share –and one we have passed to our children. So, when we learned ofChildren’s Home Society of Florida more than a decade ago – and its ambitious mission to help Florida’s children and youth – we bothdecided to become actively involved and to invest in this great organization and its work. Since then, our passion has only grown, as has our desire to make a difference for kids.

I’ve learned there is no greater reward than investing in the future of our children, investing in the future of Children’s Home Society of Florida so its highly qualified, hard-working, compassionate staffmembers can continue to provide kids with the safety, hope and love they deserve.

Children’s Home Society of Florida Foundation provides a sound financial future for Children’s Home Society of Florida, helping to ensure that vulnerable children and their families will receive the help and guidance they need – now and for many years to come.As we build the Foundation, we take significant strides in enabling Children’s Home Society of Florida to fulfill its mission, and I firmly believe the Foundation’s resources will have a lasting impact on youth for generations.

I believe this so firmly that, in honor of our parents, Sonnia and I created a named endowment with the Children’s Home Society of Florida Foundation. It is our wish to keep these funds in programswithin our Southeastern community, which we feel very close to.
