Gardner Museum Breaking News: Criminals Named

Boston's Famed Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum has been in thenews a lot lately due to the 25th anniversary of one of the biggest artheists in history. This week the FBI announced that they know whocommitted the crime. It also came to light that current Secretary ofState John Kerry successfully helped to clear one of the burglars of amurder charge in 1982, leaving him free to move on to the museum'smaster works. The Associate Board of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) invites artists tobe part of this year's Art in Motion gallery show, June 11-18, 2015 The 13th annual Art in Motion is a juried art exhibition of more than 100 emergingand established artists benefiting the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago's ArtTherapy program. Awards: Top three pieces will receive cash prizes ranging from $500 to $2,000. Finalists' work will be on display at the Ryan Family Atrium of Northwestern's LurieCenter (303 E. Superior.) Selected pieces completed by patients in the Art Therapyprogram will also be on display. All artwork will be available for sale, with 50% ofsale price going to the artist and 50% benefiting RIC. South Side Community Art Center Turns 75: Dance Celebration April 11CGN Partner Post

In 2015, the South Side Community Art Center (SSCAC) enters its 75th year and is the last surviving African American community art center,founded during the Work Progress Administration (WPA). The Center continues in its original mission to preserve, conserve and exhibit African American art and showcase African American artists. To mark the 75th Anniversary SSCAC will host Off The Wall, Onto the Stage: Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green at the Harris Theater for Musicand Dance on April 11, 2015. Green, a student at the Art Institute of Chicago, was a habitué of the SSCAC. The Ballet is a collaboration of still artand dance conceived by the Columbia City Ballet's Artistic Director William Starrett. For more information and tickets, visit www.sscartcenter.org
