Scope of change (FOR INFORMATION ONLY)
In order to give commonality with other Airbus programmes, the modification consists in the introduction of a new standard of ADIRU. Changes are as follows: Hardware changes : • forced airflow cooling no longer necessary • new microprocessor and programming language • improved MTBF • HONEYWELL Inertial GPS Hybrid (HIGH) step 2 introduced with coasting capabilities, and • data loading capabilities. In addition new software disks ("standard L4") are introduced. These software (new operational software and new air data coefficients) are pre-loaded in the ADIRU "Block III". Software changes : • Dataloading activation, • Dataloading robustness improvement: management of untimely dataloading process interruptions, • Bite improvement : removal of identified spurious messages, • Compatibility with Honeywell weather radar RDR-4B Interchangeability: NOT interchangeable.
