We have come up with this event to give chance for excellent chess players of this community to showcase their skills through this inter-barangay competition. It also aims to establish and build up the relationship among its people through this friendly and exciting competition. In line with this event, we are asking your permission to lend us the Barangay Covered Court to be used as the venue for this two-day tournament. We believe that the court will be spacious enough to hold this event and accommodate the players and all parts of the game and its program. With regard to the specifics of the game, we are planning to produce several chessboards and chess timers to be used during the tournament. We are also looking forward to giving awards to the winning players such as trophies, medals, certificates and cash prizes.
