PROCESS First when we had the beetroots westarted to peel it.

After that we cut the beetroots in pieces with a knife.

Finally, we put it in a beaker with water, we wait until it began boiling and we filter the result.

RESULTBeetroot contains red pigments called betalains, located within the cell vacuole. Normally the pigments can't pass through membranes but they leak out when the beetroot is cooked.

SPECTRUMHere we can see there is a lot of absorption in the colour green and blue and there isn’t absorption in the red which is the colour we see.
