• Liquid - put into a liquid measuring device (such as a graduated cylinder) and the amount seen is the measured value

• Regular shaped solid – can be determined by using the volume formula for the shape–Rectangular box: V=lwh–Cube: V=s3

• Irregular shaped solid–Water displacement• Take the volume measurement of
