2008 Optical properties D 6000 Crystal Structure, Optical Properties and Coloring Performance of Karrooite MgTi 2 O 5 Ceramic Pigments. — The coloring performance of Mg 1-x Ti 2-x M 2x O 5 (M: V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni; x = 0.02 and 0.05) ceramic pigments is characterized by powder XRD and UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopy. Incorporation of different chromophore ions into the MgTi2O5 structure affects unit cell parameters, bond length distances and angles, site occupancies, and cation order—disorder.
