This is especially true for poorlydraining soils and soils with shallow ground water. Thisproduct is classified as having high potential for reachingsurface water via runoff for several months or more afterapplication. A level, well-maintained vegetative bufferstrip between areas to which this product is applied andsurface water features such as ponds, streams, and springswill reduce the potential loading of Chlorantraniliprolefrom runoff water and sediment. Runoff of this productwill be reduced by avoiding applications when rainfall isforecasted to occur within 48 hours.

AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTSDERMACOR® X-100 must be used only in accordancewith its labeling and with the Worker ProtectionStandard, 40 CFR Part 170. This standard containsrequirements for the protection of agricultural workers onfarms, forests, nurseries, and greenhouses, and handlersof agricultural pesticides. It also contains specific instructions andexceptions pertaining to the statements on the label aboutpersonal protective equipment, restricted-entry interval, and notification to workers (as applicable).Do not apply this product in a way that will contactworkers or other persons, either directly or through drift.Only protected handlers may be in the area during appli-cation.For any requirements specific to your State or Tribe, consult the State or Tribal agency responsible forpesticide regulation.Do not enter or allow worker entry into treated areasduring the restricted-entry interval (REI) of 4 hours.Exception: If the seed is treated with the product and thetreated seed is soil-injected or soil-incorporated, theWorker Protection Standard, under certain circumstances, allows workers to enter the treated area if there will be nocontact with anything that has been treated. For early entry into treated areas that is permitted underthe Worker Protection Standard and that involves contactwith anything that has been treated, such as plants, soil,or water, wear:• Long-sleeved shirt and long pants• Shoes plus socks

When applied according to the DERMACOR® X-100 Ratestable, DERMACOR® X-100 will provide protection againstinjury by rice water weevil larvae, and early to mid-seasoncontrol of Mexican rice borer, rice stalk borer, and sugarcaneborer. The target DERMACOR® X-100 treatment rate is1.75 fluid ounces per acre (0.071 Ibs active ingredient peracre). Do not use more than 0.084 Ib ai per acre. For control-ling severe infestations or when longer residual control isdesired, use the higher seeding rate for any given rate ofDERMACOR® X-100 per 100 Ibs of rice seed (see Rates-Grower Guide table). Consult your local DuPont CropProtection company representative or agricultural advisor forguidance on predicted pest pressure based on historical fielddata for these pests in your area. For specified application

rates refer to the DERMACOR® X-100 seed treatmentRates-Processor Guide table.

DERMACOR® X-100 seed treatment must be used only inaccordance with directions on this label or in separate supple-mental labeling distributed by DuPont as a result of EPA orState 24(c) approvals.

DuPont will not be responsible for losses or damagesresulting from the use of this product in any manner notspecifically stated on this label or other labels or bulletinspublished by DuPont. User assumes all risks associated withsuch non-recommended use.

DERMACOR® X-100 may be applied to dry rice seed, including conventional, "Clearfield", and hybrid seedvarieties, which will be drilled or broadcast. For dry seedbroadcast application, the rice seeds must be incorporatedinto the soil. Dry rice treated with DERMACOR® X-100cannot be soaked or pre-germinated before planting.DERMACOR® X-100 is a member of the anthranilicdiamide class of insecticides with a novel mode of actionacting on insect ryanodine receptors. DERMACOR® X-100is effective through ingestion of treated plant material. Afterexposure to DERMACOR® X-100, affected insects willrapidly stop feeding, become paralyzed, and typically diewithin 1-3 days.

INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT

DuPont supports the use of Integrated Pest Management(IPM) programs to control pests. This product may be usedas part of an IPM program, which can include biological, cultural, and genetic practices, aimed at preventingeconomic pest damage. IPM principles and practicesinclude field scouting or other detection methods, correcttarget pest identification, population monitoring, rotation ofinsecticides with different modes-of-action, and treatingwhen target pest populations reach locally determinedaction thresholds. Consult your state cooperative extensionservice, professional consultants or other qualified authori-ties to determine appropriate action treatment thresholdlevels for treating specific pest/crop or site systems in yourarea.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT

For resistance management, DERMACOR® X-100 is aGroup 28 Insecticide. Repeated and exclusive use ofDERMACOR® X-100 (chlorantraniliprole, belonging to theanthranilic diamide class of chemistry) or other Group 28Insecticides may lead to the buildup of resistant strains ofinsects in some crops.

Some insects are known to develop resistance to productsused repeatedly for control. Because the development of resis-tance cannot be predicted, this product may be used as part ofresistant management strategies established for the use area. These strategies may include incorporation of cultural andbiological control practices, alternation of mode-of-actionclasses of insecticides on succeeding generations andtargeting the most susceptible life stage. Consult your local orstate agricultural authorities for details.

If resistance to DERMACOR® X-100 develops in your area,DERMACOR® X-100 or other products with a similar modeof action, may not provide adequate control. If poor perfor-mance cannot be attributed to improper application or extreme

APPLICATION AND MIXING GUIDANCEDERMACOR® X-100 may be applied as a water-basedslurry with other registered rice seed treatment materials, suchas fungicides, micronutrients, and plant growth regulators.Potential mixing partners should be tested for physicalcompatibility with DERMACOR® X-100 and added dyes orpolymers before mixing in a large tank for seed treatment.Avoid mixtures of several materials and very concentratedspray mixtures. Observe the most restrictive of the labelinglimitations and precautions of all products used in mixtures.Do not mix this product with any product that prohibits suchmixing. Mix thor-oughly recommended amount of DERMACOR® X-100with the required amount of water.

Add an EPA approved dye or colorant to treat the seeds per40 CFR 153.155(b)(l) during the seed treatment process.Ensure that all treated seed are dyed an unnatural color.MIXING TANK CLEANOUTPrior to application, start with clean, well maintained appli-cation equipment. Immediately following application, thor-oughly clean all mixing equipment to reduce the risk offorming hardened deposits, which might become difficult toremove.
