Tips for Longer Service Life

Oversize vent; Min of 1.5X – 2X for bulk chemical tanks.

Install with barrier between concrete and tank bottom.

Protect tank from direct sunlight so as not to accelerate chemicals. Not a UV issue.

Drain and Flush tank with water annually.

Do not use internal drop tubes on fill assemblies when air is used to transfer or fill the vessel. Use AFE’s.


Tips for Longer Service Life (continued)

Fittings must be placed away from tank knuckle radius.

Tank fitting attachments shall be equipped with flexible couplers or other provisions that allow the vessel to expand.

Minimize side wall connections.

Avoid Cross-section exposure.

Must Use Flexible Connectors to avoid cracking tank due to pipe misalignment, thermal growth, or pump vibration.
