Introduction to Cheetahs● World's fastest land animal

● Can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3 seconds

● Slender body and long legs make them built for speed

● They are tan in color with black spots all over their bodies

● They have “tear stripes” that come from the corner of the eye to the side of the nose

The King Cheetah● Also known as “Cooper's

Cheetah”

● Actually is an African cheetah with a rare fur pattern

● First discovered in Zimbabwe in 1926

● Has only been seen in the wild six times

Cheetah's Habitat● Mostly found in Africa but some

also live in Iran, Niger, and Algeria

● Found mostly on grasslands near deserts

● Do not live in forests, rainforests or wetlands

● They like open areas so they can watch their prey from a distance and then chase them down

Cheetah's Diet● They usually eat animals less

than 90 pounds

and sheep
