` Ingredients 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 Tbsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 3/4 tsp salt 6 Tbsp cold butter 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup buttermilk** Instructions • Preheat oven to 450°F. •Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a medium sized mixing bowl. • Cut the cold butter into chunks and add them to the flour mixture. •Using a pastry cutter/blender, fork or butter knife, cut the butter into the flour mixture until the butter pieces are no bigger than pea sized. • Mix in the cheddar cheese. •Add the buttermilk** to the bowl and mix well using a wooden spoon. If it doesn’t all come together, add an additional splash of buttermilk. The dough will be slightly sticky. •Scoop 1/4 cup portions onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10-11 minutes until golden brown at the tips. •While biscuits are baking, melt butter in a microwave safe dish and add in garlic powder, onion powder, parsley and salt. • Brush baked biscuits with seasoned butter mixture and serve warm. Makes approximately 12-18 biscuits. **Don’t have buttermilk? Add 1 3/4 tsp cream of tartar to 1 cup milk. Try whisking the cream of tartar in 2 or 3 Tbsp of milk first to combine and then add to the cup of milk. This will prevent clumps.
