Set loom to use 54 pegs. Starting with peg 1, cast on color A, and k 1 round. Continue with sock cuff. Cuff (Color A) Rnd 1-22: K2, P1. Cuff will be approx 1½-2 inches. Change to color B. Sock Leg (Color B) Rnds 1-5: K3, P3. Rnds 6-10: P3, K3. Continue these 10 rnds until you have 6 repeats, or approx 7 inches from top of cuff. End last round ready to begin next row with peg 1. Change to color A. Heel (this section will be used for the toe as well) For the heel use the first 27 pegs (or the first half of the pegs). The heel is created by using the short row method. It is recommended to place a marker on peg 1 and peg 27 as a reminder. For detailed instructions on creating the heel, see Heel and Toe Part I and then Heel and Toe Part II. The heel and toe details are explained at end of pattern. LOOM: Sock Loom Original. YARN: Knit Picks Felici, Merino and Nylon, color (B) Firefighter, 2 balls. Lion Brand Vanna’s Glamour, Acrylic and Polyester, color (A) Onyx, 1 ball. NOTIONS: Knitting tool, tapestry needle. Optional is 2 double pointed knitting needles for closing the toe opening. SIZE: Adult, average women’s. To increase or decrease the size of the sock, work multiples of 6 pegs at a time.
