LAZERLEISURE
If you're in town for a short stay, try for example the path by the river, which goes from the Belém Tower to the Alcântara docks or between Cais do Sodré and Santos. This way, you can enjoy and get to know some of the most beautiful areas of the city. Parque das Nações also offers great conditions for running as well as fantastic views.
Lisbon City Runners also offer some activities - “running tours” (get to know some of the main and most attractive areas of Lisbon through the running paths) - where running is always a priority. These are, however, paid activities. Visit lisboncityrunners.com to get more information on prices, schedules and paths. The Estádio Universitário de Lisboa (Lisbon University Stadium) is another option. It's open access and there you can enjoy the calmness of the green areas while practicing sports.Regarding green areas, you have also Parque Eduardo VII or Parque de Monsanto available.

5 tips to survive winter
For most of us, winter is like a distant relative we are forced to welcome at home, with arms not that open and a slightly forced smile. That person that sits next to us in the sofa, whose awkward presence is only endured until someone else comes to break the silence. In this case, we are waiting for spring.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could associate winter to happiness instead of letting ourselves be taken by this apathy so common in this time of the year? So we decided to say “enough!” and we gathered 5 highly recommended tips for those who want the good mood, energy and health to be present throughout the year!

Leave the house! Whether to go for awalk, to listen to music (yes, music alsocontributes to our good mood!), to run,to jump…!
1. EAT WELL, LIVE BETTERThis is a time in which we are less expose to sun light and the days are shorter, so it's important to be careful what you eat so you don't feel down.Ingest food that helps you reduce stress and enhance your good mood.Further ahead, we will give you some suggestions for overcoming these typical winter blues through what you eat.
2. GO OUT AND STAY ACTIVEIn what concerns the exposure to sun light, a good diet helps but is not enough, so we recommend that you enjoy the sun light as much as possible. In the summer, we tend to go out more and feel more motivated to practice sports. One of the secrets to survive winter is to maintain that routine. So, go out! Whether for a walk, to listen to music (yes, music also contributes to our good mood!), to run or to practice any other exercise that helps you reduce stress.Think about creating your own garden, since gardening also contributes to your physical and mental health.
3. DON'T HIBERNATE PLEASE!That's it - go out, go out a lot and go out with others! Make an effort to keep in touch with other people. Spending time with other people also helps you produce the hormones responsible for your good mood.
4. TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTHTake the necessary care to not get sick. Don't neglect the benefits of a good night's sleep, wash your hands often, stay active (see no. 2) and, of course, have a healthy diet (see no. 1).
5. FINALLY, THE BEST: TRAVEL!One of the most common practices among people that suffer from the so called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is to travel in the mid-season to warmer, more remote and sunny places, not only to escape the cloudy days, but also to take a break from the daily routine.

Resist the grey winter days through a healthier diet.Have a more nutritious diet, rich in vitamins, minerals, healthy carbohydrates and proteins, contributing to a regeneration of your body, growth and well-being.
DARK CHOCOLATEStudies show that dark chocolate contributes to the release of serotonin, which acts as a natural antidepressant to our body. It also stimulates the production of endorphin, a chemical present in our brain that induces the sense of pleasure. The antioxidants present in chocolate also help to reduce anxiety.
BANANASThey contain carbohydrates, vitamin B6, natural sugars, potassium and magnesium, which help maintaining a healthy brain. Magnesium, in particular, helps the good functioning of the muscles, nerves and bone density.
YAMRich in vitamins A, C and B6, potassium, fibre and L-tryptophan, which contribute to a sense of happiness and relaxation. This food item also contains magnesium, which helps reducing the levels of stress and anxiety.
VITAMIN DIt is more difficult to obtain this vitamin though solar exposure during this time of the year. Therefore, in addition to enjoying all the sun light you can during winter, be mindful of products rich in this vitamin, such as cod-liver oil, salmon stew and hard-boiled eggs, since they will help you keep your good mood.
FOOD RICH IN ANTIOXIDANTSAntioxidants fight the free radicals (oxidising agents), contributing to the health of your brain and skin, also helping in the prevention of some diseases. Some food items rich in antioxidants are avocados, broccoli, carrots, peaches, pumpkin, spinach, grapefruit, blueberries, tomatoes, nuts, seeds and vegetable oils.
A SMARTER INGESTION OF CARBOHYDRATESPrefer food rich in carbohydrates and fibre, such as whole grains, fruit and vegetables instead of carbohydrates rich in sugar, such as cakes and cookies.
PROTEIN HELPS YOU TO STAY ALERTEat more turkey, tuna or chicken, because they are rich in an amino acid called L-tryptophan, which induces the production of serotonin. Other sources of protein are peas, beans, lentils, light cheese, milk, fish or soya products.
OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDSThere is nothing better than oily fish (such as salmon, sardines, tuna or anchovies) to contribute not only to a better mood, but also to your health in general.

We don't want anything to disrupt this search for happiness, not even work. So, we give you some suggestions to extend the energy of your holidays and the summer, and let it influence your return to work.
Continue a fazer planos.
FIRST WEEK OF WORKKeep making plans. Arrange a lunch or a drink at the end of the day with a friend and keep the interest in exploring, this time, your own city. Plan on discovering different places, such as trying a new restaurant. This way, you are able to smooth the impact of the first week of work.

time to organise everything. We also recommend you not to schedule anything important, specially for the first day, so you can absorb all the information and recover from your absence.
TAKE MORE BREAKSWhether at lunch or in other times of the day, take that time to go out, enjoy the natural light and move a little.
FACE PROBLEMS AS IF FOR THE FIRST TIMEEven if you know them as the back of your hands. Try to find new perspectives and approaches, move away from the problem or ask the opinion of your team.

Resist the temptation of the sofa and the blanket, don't be afraid of the rain, cold or the darker days, and run from the “home/work” routine.

PARA AULASFOR CLASSES
Preparation methodMix the grated almond, the wheat flour, the icing sugar and the chocolate and pass it through a sieve to get a fine powder. Heat the egg whites in the microwave for 30 seconds, stirring them until they are warm. Then, whip the egg whites, putting the refined sugar little by little. Add the colouring and the sifted mixture. Stir all with a spoon. Put the dough in a piping bag. Use a cake tin, lined with parchment paper and greased with butter and flour, and make small balls with the dough. Let them rest for 20 minutes and the balls will be flattened (with about 2 cm wide). Put them in the oven preheated at170 ºC for about 15 minutes, leaving the oven half-opened for the last 8 minutes.
For the filling, melt the chocolate in the microwave. Add all the ingredients in a container and heat it in low fire until you get a uniform cream. Spread the cream in one of the sides of the macaron and close with another macaron.

Acrescente o corante e a mistura peneirada.
