The Solution Working with key stakeholders, DATA Inc. analyzed the current technological deployments and determined that a web-based application could be developed to facilitate the seamless retrieval of check images from banking feeds. Deployed over the insurer’s Intranet system, the “Check Imaging and Retrieval System” was designed to interface with the organizations deployment of Mainframe DB2 databases and RAID disk sys- tems, allowing for seamless access to critical payment information. Customer Service representatives could perform a one-click online retrieval of check data from the mainframe application and the approproate check image from the Windows application. The Result The solution was successfully implemented at the client on-time and on-budget. Stakeholders at all levels of the process could now quickly and seamlessly retrieve necessary information through a single interface, streamlining customer service at the insurer.
