Little can compare to the majestic horizons offered at Chateau Ventoux in Provence. This peaceful and private eighteenth century estate is located between Carpentras and Orange near Avignon. The enclosed estate comprises seventeen acres and is surrounded by lush vineyards and orchards.
LOCATION
Situated in the heart of the Rhone valley,within easy reach of Avignon, St. Remy and Aix-en-Provence, this estate’s glorious, fully enclosed landscape embraces 17 acres of mature wooded park-land, elegant formal gardens, orchards and streams. At its heart lie the jewel-like Chateau itself.
The Château has a distinguished heritage, built in 1612 and rebuilt in 1760, is one of the most exquisite private property in Provence available to rent.Rebuilt on the ashes of a mansion destroyed by fire in 1730, the current Château was completed circa 1760. The plans were drawn up by the noted architect, Charles Le Brun, who created the coun-try seat for an aristocrat from Avignon, Francois de Tourreau.
