2015 Legislative Changes to Dual Credit

Streamlining and expanding dual credit is a WSAC priority.

Distinction between College in the High School and Running Start – no more RS in the High School.

RS students get support with existing funds for textbooks, fees, and transportation.

Expands College in the High School to 10th graders.

CHS may include both academic and CTE courses.

Prioritized funding of $65/credit for rural and small schools; and students who are eligible for free and reduced price lunch.
