1 Charter of Diplomats Planet

ARTICLE ONE. Name

Section 1: This organization shall be known as the “Diplomats Planet” Its motto shall be “peace & prosperity though pluralism, diversity & meritocracy".

ARTICLE TWO: Vision and Mission Statement

Section Two: Diplomats Planet vision is to be an independent, non-partisan and non-profit think tank organization that conducts research and engages in advocacy in areas such as international diplomacy, conflicts management, political & social strategy and peace & international development.

Section Three: The mission of Diplomats Planet is to encourage interaction of the diplomatic community and global information sharing in order to strengthen international peace, development and United Nation's global agenda

The Objectives includes;

1. Engagement of diplomatic community, policy makers & decision-makers in peace-building and global development.2. Collaboration with leading development organization; identifying shared principles, policies and practices to strengthen United Nations global agenda.3. Root cause identification and advocacy for resolving international conflicts.4. Exchange of values and intercultural dialogue, fostering mutual understanding between communities and cultures.

ARTICLE THREE: Identity

Section Four: Diplomats Planet is guided by God Universal Message " Peace & Humanism" which will lead for a sustaining prosperity and well being of the Planet Earth citizens.

ARTICLE FOUR: Membership

Basic Guidelines

Section Five: Diplomats Planet members shall be practicing adult males and females who are diplomats, politicians, Journalists, International Civil Service Executives, international Business Professionals and Activists. University or college students intending to join the diplomatic, consular or

other international relations professions may join it as honorary members.

Section Six: Diplomats Planet members shall give loyalty to the Organization, and support its vision and mission. They will aspire to live, lives of the highest and most exemplary standard for world peace. They shall regard fellow members of the organization as brothers & sisters.

Section Seven: Diplomats Planet shall require its members, particularly those working with a particular government or inter-governmental organizations, to undertake any activity which may be helpful in promoting and strengthening the international peace and prosperity.

Degrees of Membership

Section Eight: Diplomats Planet shall have following Categories of membership

1. Member Board of Governors: Those who are heading Diplomats Planet Chapters. The Maximum Membership capacity in this category is 250. These members have one vote each to select Diplomats Planet Governor, Deputy Governor, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and World Executive President for a term of five years.

2. Honorary Members: The members in this category will be any one who is eligible as per the criteria mentioned in section six.

The International Board of Governors

Section Nine: Diplomats Planet highest authority is the International Board of Governors (BOG). It is tasked with providing overall direction and guidance to the Organization, and shall have the final say in the governance of its affairs. It shall have the exclusive authority to amend this Charter. The BOG shall consist of the Governor, Deputy Governor, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and World Executive President. A majority of the members of the BOG shall constitute a quorum to do official business. The BOG shall meet once every year in its General Assembly.

ARTICLE FIVE:

The Governor:

Section Ten: The Governor shall be someone very famous and dedicated international personality.

The Secretary General:

Section Eleven: The Secretary General shall besomeone from the Board of Governors shall be selected by the vote of Majority of the members in BOG.

ARTICLE SIX

Activities

Section Twelve: The Diplomats Planet BOG and BODs shall promulgate annual programs of activity in conformity with the Organization’s vision and mission statement.

Section Thirteen: The BOG shall organize, as appropriate, international and regional general assemblies. Assemblies may issue resolutions on the governance of the Organization.

ARTICLE SEVEN:

General Provisions

Section Fourteen: The IBOG shall issue a comprehensive set of by-laws and directives elaborating upon the provisions of this Charter, and may amend this Charter as necessary.
