A Theory of Fractal Geometry Focusing on Iterated Function Systems,Supervisor: Dr. Jonathan Fraser, Grade: 1st.An Iterated Function System is a finite collection of contraction mappings on a complete metricspace. They often lead to a set comprised of many smaller copies of the original and given a correctset up can be used to generate an astonishing variety of self-similar and self-affine fractals. Myproject presents a general theory of Fractal Geometry then focuses on Iterated Function Systemsand one particular fractal; an abstraction on the Middle-Third Cantor Set.
