A Venue to Remember Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding and thank you for considering the Charles Cotton Hotel for your wedding celebrations. The Charles Cotton Hotel is set in the picturesque village of Hartington with the stunning views of the Peak District National Park. The hotel has 18 individually styled bedrooms including our romantic Dovedale Suite. Complimentary car parking is available to all guests. The stylish Charles Cotton Suite can accommodate up to 60 people seated and 100 people for evening reception. Our Wedding Coordinator will be delighted to discuss all your ideas and requirements to ensure your entire day goes beautifully. We appreciate that all weddings are unique and therefore this brochure is intended as a guide to help you create your perfect day. We have put together our unique package, where you can select from our bespoke drinks menu, canapés and evening food if required. Whatever the choice of wedding ceremony, we will work with you to ensure your special day goes exactly to plan. We are licensed to perform civil ceremonies on site and are also very fortunate to have St. Giles Church located in the heart of the village

As soon as you have made the decision to have a civil ceremony at the Charles Cotton Hotel,

you must contact the Registrar’s office. The Bakewell Office contact number is 01629

535261. It is important to do this as soon as possible in order to secure the date you

require. There will be a fee for the Registrar’s services, and they will advise you accordingly.

Non- Religious Ceremonies The Charles Cotton Hotel is permitted to be the venue for non-religious ceremonies and as such any music, reading, words, poetry or performances which form part of the ceremony must be secular. The content of which must be discussed with the Registrar, who will be attending the ceremony. Ceremonies can be performed in the Charles Cotton Suite any day between 12pm till 5pm. Prices for room hire for your ceremony start from £300. An interview will take place on the day of the wedding between the Registrar and the bride and groom separately prior to the ceremony and normally last 15 minutes. Signature Wedding Package Our Charles style bespoke wedding package is designed to simplify your choice of drinks, canapés and evening food. We feel that the Signature style offers something to suit most budgets, however should you wish to discuss alternatives our wedding planner will be delighted to include your ideas and suggestions. Signature Package is for 40 day guests and 50 evening guests

Terms and Conditions ❖ A provisional booking can only be held for 14 days.

❖ A non-refundable deposit of £500.00 is required to secure your

reservation. On receipt of this, your booking will be confirmed in writing

❖ A further 50% of the estimated total is payable 12 weeks before the date

of your wedding, and is non-refundable. It is your responsibility to ensure

that this payment is received by the confirmed due date

❖ The final numbers along with the remaining outstanding balance is

payable 30 days prior to your wedding. All monies paid are non-

refundable after this date.

❖ Should your final guest numbers not reach the provisionally booked

amount, the Charles Cotton Hotel reserves the right to alter the function

room chosen.

❖ Prices quoted are correct at the time of printing. The Charles Cotton

Hotel reserves the right to alter the prices of food and drink due to

unforeseen changes in prices from our suppliers and changes in VAT.

❖ Any outstanding costs incurred during your wedding day must be settled

on the day of departure.

❖ Cancellation policy:

o If the booking is cancelled more than 12 months before the

wedding, the £500 deposit is lost.

o If the booking is cancelled 12 to 6 months before the wedding there

will be a charge of 25% of the estimated costs

o If the booking is cancelled 6 to 3 months before the wedding, there

will be a charge of 50% of the estimated costs.

o If the booking is cancelled less than 3 months before the wedding

there will be a charge of 100% of the total costs.
