Graduation Requirements
Graduation Requirements--20 Credits
___ English-- 4 credits___ Math-- 4 credits (including Algebra 2)___ Science-- 3 credits___ US History-- 1 creditNEW US Government-- 1 credit___ Social Studies Electives-- 1 credit___ Health-- .5 credits___ Physical Education-- .5 credits or PE Waiver (.5 credits = 2 semesters)___ Elective in Bus./Tech./For. Lang. / Fine Art-- 1 credit
State Testing
•All students must take end-of-course exams:
–Algebra I and Geometry–English I and English II–Biology–American History* and American Government*
*Students enrolled in AP courses may take the AP exam in lieu of the end-of-course exam
Honors Diploma Requirements (must meet seven of eight requirements)

Topper Time: Your choice or chosen for you
“Topper Time”
What is “Topper Time” ?
● Topper Time is an Intervention/Acceleration period. Students will have the ability to attend academic intervention labs in every content area. Students will also have the ability to sign up for labs based upon the unique course offerings of individual teachers.
● Will run on Monday, Tuesday, & Friday ● 30 minute period between 3rd and 4th period
Students may be assigned to an intervention Topper Time based upon student, teacher, counselor, or parent recommendation.
Important Scheduling Considerations
1. Students are expected to enroll in 5 classes/semester
2. Senior Status = min. of 14 credits earned
3. Athletics/Activities Eligibility● minimum of 5 full value courses scheduled● minimum of 1.5 prior quarter GPA● no prior quarter F's
3. Follow teacher recommendations for courses and levels of instruction
Other Scheduling Considerations….
1. Select courses related to career and educational plans
2. Over-schedule to allow the flexibility to drop a course if necessary
3. * List alternative/back-up courses to allow for scheduling conflicts
Courses to Enhance College Opportunities1. Plan to take English, Math, Science, Social Studies all four years
2. Advanced Placement or Honors Courses
3. 2-3 years of a Foreign Language
4. A Fine Arts Course (Visual Art/Music/Drama)
5. Select electives that are related to you future career and educational plans
6. In-depth learning in an area

2. All teacher recommendations are for core courses and become a course “request”
3. You can access these recommendations within Infinite Campus
● Online course registration will open Friday, February 10th and be available through
Monday, February 17th
What if I don’t agree with a teacher’s recommendation??
• Once this recommendation is entered you have two ways to change it:
1. discuss with the teacher and if he/she is comfortable with the change, he/she will change or
2. complete an “override form” which is available in guidance
