DCI Jones

Well presented and groomed well – starts off groomed well and looking professional due to him being a professional but as the film goes on, he gets more stressed about the case that being groomed well isn’t a priority

Middle aged – this would be around the right age for this sort of character, any younger and it wouldn’t have that realistic view for the audience

Secretive with a hidden identity – he has to keep his identity hidden because we are trying to portray him as a killer

Tall and stocky – policeman are usually tall and are built well so that they can sort out any thief

Good background with a middle class family bringing him up – signifies that he has morals and has been brought up right

He’s aware and very alert – aware of any danger that he might face

We are going to portray DCI Jones as if he is stalking the female throughout the whole film till the narrative twists and makes it seem to the audience as if the female has been watching Jones and is lining up his death.

Female Character

Rich and wealthy – this will portray her positively and gives the audience a reason to believe why this mysterious man is following her

High class – this will follow the idea of her being rich and wealthy and the audience will know her high class through her mise en scene and her house

Very secretive with a hidden identity – she needs to be secretive as the twist in the film is vital and we cannot give away the real side to her from the start otherwise it will ruin the film

In her 30’s – she has to be around middle age to portray this female character and this is an age that women are looked at in this way

Anxious, conscience and paranoid – at the start she has to act paranoid as it will feel that she is being followed and she has to stay anxious and conscience about herself because she knows she is being watched however, the audience do not know this till the end.

We are going to portray our female character as an anxious and paranoid woman because it will give the audience the idea that she is being stalked by the policeman (who the audience don’t know till the end). This creates an enigma to the audience as they question what is going to happen in the end. This will then make the twist in the film better as the audience will not expect it.
