Leadership qualities can be tested from any angle. Starting from the ability to manage risk, build the confidence of his followers, created a new breakthrough in place it is located, and bring fresh ideas to transform change into a real action. In the end, we concluded that we need a leader who has a strong character to manage their responsibilities. As a leader they have a responsibility to make sure their follower want to achieve vision together. Leader is a role model for their follower also Leader must give their excellence performance. Excellence performance can be a result of Strong character. Each people is a leader for herself and for others. It is a responsibility to enhance ability through give personal excellence. If some people want give their personal excellence they should have personal strong character. There are several character building to achieve personal excellence.Talking about the characters themselves, then we talk about what we say, what we do, and what becomes our habit. Perhaps we seldom realize that no matter how small the characters themselves are embedded within ourselves can be positive or negative domino effect on our future. There will not be a major corruption in the leadership of this country, without beginning of corruption in a small aspect of a person. There will be no also an example of leadership in this country, without any accumulation of good deeds a person who is consistent. Character Building in line with the vision of the nation's leaders who embody the spirit of nationalism and patriotism high, noble, smart and healthy plenary, whether physical, spiritual, spiritual, and intellectual, as well as participate to make Indonesia as an independent nation in the economy, sovereign in politics, in culture and personality. There are seven-character conformity with the leadership: love, Earthy, Fair, Modeling, The totality, Integrity, andSolidarity.Love is one of the characters that bring joy, beauty, compassion. With love we will find peace in life. Love can be sincere in doing anything in life, and doing something with maximum ability. If some people love with their job, he will give maximum potential to do job. In addition it is also understated the excellence of a character. He will always feel inferior and not overbearing so he is always hungry to learn and improve skill. Fair is a character in which a person is able to put something in place. He is able to manage his time, discipline to time, and respect to time. He can be fair to himself and others.In addition Modeling is also an important character for a person to their best ability for influencing people. Someone will try to instill good things for him so that he could become a role model for others. Role model is a result of good habitual and internalization good things in a person. Furthermore totality, this character is closely associated with how a person can focus on what he wanted and he did. What is done will be done well and optimal. In Islam this is the key character, as islam says "MAN JADDA WAJADA", Whoever earnestly he will succeed.The next two characters are the integrity and solidarity. Integrity is a character in which he maintained his principles. C.S. Lewis said Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Halfon describes integrity in terms of a person's dedication to the pursuit of a moral life and their intellectual responsibility in seeking to understand the demands of such a life. Solidarity is a character in which a person has the awareness to share with others and create something new to the surroundings.Internalization good character was start from family. Family will teach how we adapt to the life and give basic value. Good family support will make him easy to adaptation in the real life. Someone that love God, family, environment will do the right thing and happy to do their job. Never stop learn is the way to building character. Trying something new and make a new things. If someone built good character he would give personal excellence. Good character will automatically give the best performance in life. Good character building will reflect their personal excellence. He was able to an advanced solution for the problem and become a leader for change.
