ISSA Chapter Officers (required)ISSA Chapter Officers (required)

• President– The President is the chief executive officer of the chapter and

presides at all meetings. The President has the power to call special meetings and has the deciding vote in case of tied decisions. In the case of the President’s absence at a meeting or event, the position may be filled by another member of the Board, subject to the consent of a majority of the membership attending the event. The President is a group administrator of your chapter's site on the issa.org website.

maintains the chapter records. The Secretary is also responsible for preparing a bank reconciliation monthly. The Secretary is a group administrator of your chapter's site on the ISSA.org website.

• Treasurer– The Treasurer maintains records of all membership dues and

other monies or articles of value belonging to the Chapter, and shall keep an accurate account of all treasury receipts, expenditures, and deposits.

his/her absence or in the case of a vacancy in the presidency and assists the President in administrative and other duties as the President may require.

• The Membership Director– The Membership Director is responsible for maintaining

membership lists and oversees the guest, recruitment and retention programs and activities as well as the participation and engagement of all members.

• Vice President– The Vice President assumes the duties of the President in

his/her absence or in the case of a vacancy in the presidency and assists the President in administrative and other duties as the President may require.

• The Membership Director– The Membership Director is responsible for maintaining

membership lists and oversees the guest, recruitment and retention programs and activities as well as the participation and engagement of all members.

• Membership Drive Chairman– This position is to assist the Membership Director. The

primary responsibility of the Drive Chairman is to manage the chapter growth program.

• Webmaster– The Webmaster is responsible for the ongoing design,

support and maintenance of you chapter’s website; including gathering and publishing up-to-date facts, schedules, and announcements of all Chapter activities.

• Membership Drive Chairman– This position is to assist the Membership Director. The

primary responsibility of the Drive Chairman is to manage the chapter growth program.

• Certification Director– The Certification chairperson assists members in the area of

professional certification. It is the duty of this Director to bring together the necessary information on the certification processes into one common place. The Certification Director will provide information to the membership in a timely fashion. If a member has a question about any aspect of certification, this director is the chapter focal point.

• Communications Director– The Communications Director shall manage the

communications activities of the chapter. Your Communications Director can be added as a group administrator for your chapter group page on the ISSA.org website at the request of your chapter president.

• Certification Director– The Certification chairperson assists members in the area of

professional certification. It is the duty of this Director to bring together the necessary information on the certification processes into one common place. The Certification Director will provide information to the membership in a timely fashion. If a member has a question about any aspect of certification, this director is the chapter focal point.

• Communications Director– The Communications Director shall manage the

communications activities of the chapter. Your Communications Director can be added as a group administrator for your chapter group page on the ISSA.org website at the request of your chapter president.

• Education Director– The Education Director shall coordinate activities pertaining

to the chapter meetings and educational offerings. The Education Director should strive to recruit speakers that fulfill the needs of the members and their stage in their career lifecycle. The director will establish and solicit members for a committee if necessary, and chair the committee.

• Newsletter Director– The Newsletter Director is responsible for the publication of

the chapter newsletter. The Newsletter Director will establish and solicit members for a newsletter staff if necessary, and will coordinate the job functions of the volunteers.

• Education Director– The Education Director shall coordinate activities pertaining

to the chapter meetings and educational offerings. The Education Director should strive to recruit speakers that fulfill the needs of the members and their stage in their career lifecycle. The director will establish and solicit members for a committee if necessary, and chair the committee.

between your chapter and security vendors. This director is responsible for developing and managing sponsorship opportunities and ensuring vendor neutral content in educational presentations by vendors.

• Past President– All Past Presidents retaining active membership may attend

meetings held by the Board of Directors and serve in an advisory capacity without the power to vote.
