• Authority- Managers have power to enforce obedience

• Centralization- depending on company size decision making should vary between one or more mangers with regards to major/minor issues

• Put great trust in managers and employees do well if just follow what they are told•Less decision making the better

• Downside: companies who follow this may find themselves less effective due to employees not being able to respond quickly to situations (Empowerment Ch. 7)

Tall or Flat organization? Can be seen as both. The restaurants have a flat organization on the day to day business with that it deals with only few management heads while the corporate structure has numerous departments such as product, training, and advertisement.
