Discussion questions answered• 1. The push toward technological innovation has definitely changed my life. It has made life easier, with knowing

different reviews of products and finding out where my friends like to go eat with the Geotagging features in apps. This could potentially impact my career in the sense that I want to work in fashion one day. If companies were to search my profile and saw that I went shopping here, or there. The company will favor myself over someone who does not visit clothing stores as much. This proves that I am up to date in the latest trends.

• 2. Some of the challenges would have to be if the people you are attempting to connect with do not use the same social media. If they are connecting with Twitter and your presence is on Instagram there will be need to a bridge of communication. Someone will need to create an account of the other social media to connect properly. New opportunities can arise from social media communication such as a makeup artist may gain thousands of loyal followers. Also tagging each instagram picture with the company associated with the make up used, will create a buzz and allow companies to reach out to you, to become a sponsored artist for their brand.

• 3. there are privacy concerns about geotagging only if your profile is set to “public” rather than “private.” If the profile is set to private, then the control is in your hands on who gets to see where you went and with who. If the profile is set to public, anyone may be able to see where you went. This can be dangerous. In the future I believe that this concern will only become more dangerous only because there is a lack of understanding with the younger generation on internet safety. If properly versed in internet safety, the privacy concern would not exist.
