How can you control the Movement of your Vehicle?

• Located in manual transmission (or stick shifts)

• Third foot pedal located to the left of the brake pedal

• Park (P)• Reverse ( R )• Neutral (N)• Drive (D)• Low (or 2 and 1): Allows the engine

to deliver more power to the wheels at slower speeds. Up and down hills.

Cruise Control• Speed control

• Feature that let’s you maintain a constant speed without keeping your foot on the accelerator

• Highway driving

• Goes back to manual once you hit the brake

• Headlights- Low and High Beam

• Taillights and side-marker lights: Turn on automatically with the headlights

• Daylight- All day lights

• Fog Lights- Have their own switch to turn them on or off.

• Areas of the road you cannot see while driving the vehicle

Defroster

• This clears moisture or frost from the front, rear, and side windows

• Head Restraints- Protect against whiplash

• Air Bags- In less than one second air bags inflate on impact

• Safety Belts

• Door Locks

• Alternator: Provides electricity to keep the engine running, recharge the battery, and operate the lights and radio.
