Hi there and welcome back to the Kennedy Legacy. Last time, Jake cae home from Uni and married Katy, then the newlyweds went to Simaica with Jake’s parents. Katy came home from vacation with a nice surprise, and soon gave birth to a little boy named Dylan. She also hoped that her husband would grow out of being self-centered. Let’s see what they are all up to now.

Page 2: Chapter 2.2

‘Nessa was enjoying her new role as a grandmother. She had lots of time to spend with Dylan now that she was retired.

Page 3: Chapter 2.2

Forrest retired too, and spent his afternoons teaching George some new tricks, even though the dog was getting on in years.

Page 4: Chapter 2.2

“Look at that! It’s Dylan the airplane! Wheeee!!!”Dylan loved playing airplane with his grandpa. Sometimes he would cry if Forrest put him down.

Page 5: Chapter 2.2

Jake and Katy usually came home from work around the same time. The newlywed feeling was still present, and they hugged each other whenever they could.“How was your day at work, honey?” Katy asked.“It was great! I actually got promoted on my first day! I guess I really impressed them.”

Page 6: Chapter 2.2

Today was Dylan’s birthday though, so no one really focused on Jake’s promotion too long. Vivian came for the party as well as a few other old college friends. Katy looked on as Vivian gave Jake a hug that lasted a bit too long.“So good to see you Vivian. Mom made some homemade chips and dip if you want some.”“Nice to see you too. Congrats on having a son.”

Page 7: Chapter 2.2

Katy followed her into the kitchen and blocked her into a corner.“You better not ruin my son’s party with your so-called flirting!”“But I wasn’t-”“I saw how you hugged my husband! I will not have any of that. I will be watching you.”Vivan sighed with relief when Katy walked away. She hoped Jake never saw this side of his wife.

Page 8: Chapter 2.2

Everyone gathered on the deck to watch Dylan drool on the candles. Jake was excited to see how his son grew up, while ‘Nessa was busy trying to find a good spot to stand in.

Page 9: Chapter 2.2

Dylan grew up into an adorable toddler, and was quickly indulged with a story from his grandma as soon as she put his birthday clothes on. He smiled as he listened to her read about the airplane that made friends with teddy bears.

Page 10: Chapter 2.2

Forrest even managed to get a couple of tickles in before one of the party guests picked him up and played with him. Dylan was a bit scared of all of the people that was swarming the house.

Page 11: Chapter 2.2

George came in the kitchen to say hello once everyone moved into the living room for cake and dancing. Dylan thought he looked friendly, so he reached out to pet him. They became instant friends.

Page 12: Chapter 2.2

Katy put her son to bed after the guests left. Dylan was relieved to be in bed, away from all of the noise. “Goodnight, my sweet prince,” She said as she tucked him in.Dylan smiled shyly at his mom, then quickly dozed off.

Page 13: Chapter 2.2

Dylan’s toddler years went by quickly, with potty training going faster than Katy expected. “Good boy! Such a smart boy, Dylan! You’re a big boy now.”“Big boy?”“Yes. Wait until Nana finds out. She’s going to be proud of you.”

Page 14: Chapter 2.2

‘Nessa taught him old nursery rhymes that she learned as a child. It took awhile for him to catch on though. “Jane and Louisa will soon come home, soon come home, soon come home,Jane and Louisa will soon come homeinto the beautiful garden.”“…..”“Oh come now, Dylan, you can do it.”Eventually he tried and was actually good at it.

Page 15: Chapter 2.2

The weekend came and nobody had to work, so they hung around the pool. Dylan was busy with his new block toys, while the elders soaked up the sun and Katy practiced her cannonball moves.

Page 16: Chapter 2.2

She realized she had some work to catch up on, so she stopped Jake on the way to the computer.“Sweetie, would you mind giving Dylan a bath? I have to finish up on some reports before Monday.”“But I have to go work out. Can it wait an hour?”Katy frowned. “Jake, the bike isn’t going anywhere. It will only take fifteen minutes to give him a proper bath.”Jake sighed. “Alright.”Katy smiled as she handed Dylan to him.

Page 17: Chapter 2.2

Jake put his son down and went to the exercise bike anyway. Dylan looked at his dad and pouted. He didn’t understand why his dad didn’t pay much attention to him or his needs.

Page 18: Chapter 2.2

“Jake, how have you been getting on wit’ Dylan? He’s so quiet and all.”Jake sat his fork down. “We are getting along fine. It’s just strange being a parent.”“I understand. I noticed you don’t spend time wit’ him much. Maybe you should do some catchin’ up before he gets too old.”He smiled. “I spend a ton of time with him, Ma. Don’t you worry about that.”“mmhm.” ‘Nessa said as she rolled her eyes.

Page 19: Chapter 2.2

Pretty soon, Dylan’s birthday was coming up, and Katy wanted to make his party a small family affair. She noticed he was really scared at the last party. “Do you think you can make it to Dylan’s party? I was thinking it could just be us, you know?”“Umm…” Jake said, thinking. “I would but, I promised my friend I would help him finish up his blueprint tomorrow. Rain check?”

Page 20: Chapter 2.2

Katy was stunned. “Rain check?? You want to take a rain check on your son’s birthday party??? What kind of father are you? There are more important things in this life than just focusing on yourself. Grow up Jake.”And with that she stormed off into the garage and went to work. Jake stood there for a moment, absorbing what just happened. What does she mean, grow up? I am quite mature. I think she’s just stressed out from working too much. Yea, that’s it.

Page 21: Chapter 2.2

Jake eventually cancelled his plans and stayed for his son’s party. He even helped Dylan blow out the candles.

Page 22: Chapter 2.2

Forrest and ‘Nessa bought him a parrot from Simaica for his birthday. Dylan decided to name him Yoshi, from one of his favourite cartoons. Katy bought the cage to go with him.

Page 23: Chapter 2.2

Dylan was really attached to his grandma, and made sure to give her a hug every time he came home from school. “We learned about how plants grow today, Nana! I even got to plant a bean in the garden.”“How nice, Dylan. Maybe you can bring it home when it gets nice an’ big.”

Page 24: Chapter 2.2

Katy wanted Dylan to learn how to play the piano but didn’t have time to teach him herself. Forrest volunteered, since he had a lot of time on his hands nowadays. After a few lessons, Dylan was able to play a whole song with very little mistakes.

Page 25: Chapter 2.2

He even made it to private school, thanks to ‘Nessa and her gourmet cooking.

Page 26: Chapter 2.2

In another attempt to get Jake to be more active in his child’s life, Katy decided to have him take Dylan to the neighborhood playdate at the Kiddie Kastle. “So, there’s a playdate going on for the neighborhood, and I was wondering if you would like to come with us. It’ll be fun.”Jake checked his watch. “Yea, I would love to go, but I was planning on brushing up on my fire dancing skills. I want to master it so I can impress the guys.”Katy looked at him with disbelief and walked off without saying another word.

Page 27: Chapter 2.2

Jake made up for it by apologizing later that evening. “Don’t worry, I will meet you guys there ok?”Katy smiled. “Ok, it starts at 3 O’clock.”“I will be there.” he promised.

Page 28: Chapter 2.2

Jake snuck in some football time before Dylan had to go to school. He wanted his wife and parents to see he was the best father in the world. Dylan was happy to have his dad play with him for once without begging.

Page 29: Chapter 2.2

After school, Katy and Dylan went to the Kiddie kastle for the playdate. Dylan thought it would be funny to scare one of the boys that was in his class.“Hey! That wasn’t nice!” The boy screamed.“Oh. Sorry. I was just playing.”“That’s ok. Hey, wanna play cops n’ robbers?”“Sure!” Dylan replied.

Page 30: Chapter 2.2

Dylan and his classmate played for awhile, having tons of fun in the process. A little girl watched them play roughly, then went off to play tea time with the other girls.

Page 31: Chapter 2.2

Two hours later, Jake still didn’t show up. Katy called to see where he was, but only got the voicemail.“Hey Jake, it’s Katy. Dylan and I are waiting for you. Call me back and let me know when you’re coming.”

Page 32: Chapter 2.2

Dylan sadly looked out of the window, looking for Jake. He was hoping that his dad would come soon so that his classmates could meet him. But the playdate was almost over, and it didn’t look like he was going to make it after all.

Page 33: Chapter 2.2

Jake never showed, so Katy tried to make Dylan feel better by taking him out to dinner. “Mom, why didn’t daddy come? I thought we were best friends.”Katy sighed. She hated to see her little boy so sad. She was angry at Jake for making him feel that way.

Page 34: Chapter 2.2

“Well,” she replied, trying to make something up. “Your father probably got busy with work, or is helping Nana with some of the housework. I’m sure he will take you to the park or something this weekend.”“I hope so,” Dylan said. They ate the rest of their meal in silence. Then….

Page 35: Chapter 2.2

“Mom?”“Hmm?”“What’s woohoo? Tommy was talking about it today during recess. He said its how babies are made, but I thought they hatched from eggs. That’s what nana told me.”“…..”

Page 36: Chapter 2.2

When they got back home, Katy found her husband in the backyard, practicing his fire dancing skills. She immediately got angry, and was also hurt.“Oh, hey hun,” Jake said while swing the baton. “Look how good I am. I should be a pro by now.”She did not reply, but instead just glared at him. When he noticed how she looked, he put the baton down and put the fire out.

Page 37: Chapter 2.2

“How could you act like nothing’s going on? You totally stood Dylan up today. He was really sad when you didn’t show up! What kind of selfish person are you?”“Well-”“You need to stop focusing on yourself so much. I didn’t think anything of it when we were dating, but it has only gotten worse since Dylan was born. If you don’t change your ways quickly, you may find yourself without me and your son.”

Page 38: Chapter 2.2

Jake laughed nervously. “Oh, I knew I forgot something. Babe, settle down before you give yourself a heart attack. I will make it up to him. And I know you won’t go anywhere. We are good together.”“You might be surprised. Oh, and until you straighten up, don’t even think about sleeping in the bedroom.”“But….”Katy walked away before he could finish his sentence.

Page 39: Chapter 2.2

‘Nessa saw her daughter-in-law was upset, so she gave her a big hug.“Is it Jake?” she asked, whispering.“Yes. I just don’t understand him. He thinks the world revolves around him.”“One day soon, he will fall on his face and come to his senses. Don’t you worry ‘bout him. He will come around.”“I hope so.”

Page 40: Chapter 2.2

Dinnertime was quiet and tense. Forrest was the only one that had no idea what was going on. He tried some small talk, but failed.

Page 41: Chapter 2.2

He was even more puzzled when he saw Jake laying on the guest cot in the living room.“Why are you out here?” Forrest asked, confused.Jake tried to play it cool. “Oh, I just thought I would watch some late night TV.”“But the cot..?”“Oh, in case I fall asleep.”“You got kicked out of the bedroom, didn’t you?”“Yea.” *sigh*

Page 42: Chapter 2.2

Dylan brought home a friend from school to play video games with. He found video games to be very exciting, and played them more than he did anything else.

Page 43: Chapter 2.2

On the other side of town, Jake met up with Vivian at the poker bar.“Nice to see you again,” she said, giving him a big hug.“Nice to see you too. Let’s grab some drinks.”“Alright.”

Page 44: Chapter 2.2

“So what’s the dilemma?” Vivian asked as they took their seats.“Well, my wife kicked me out of the bedroom because she believes I only think about myself, and that I don’t pay enough attention to Dylan. I only forgot about one playdate! It wasn’t that serious.”“Still the same Jake, I see,” she replied. “Why do you always say that?”

Page 45: Chapter 2.2

“ I say that because you are so self-absorbed, you don’t see what others see. You do only think about yourself, or how other people think of you. Your wife is absolutely right. And, I know I don’t have kids, but when you promise a child something, they expect you to do it. Dylan is only a child once, and you should enjoy him before he grows up and think you’re uncool. Also, you need to wake up and start thinking of others instead of just yourself, or else you will wake up and find that everyone has left you.”

Page 46: Chapter 2.2

Jake slowly sipped his drink and thought about what Vivian said. He thought about all of the excuses he gave his family when they asked him to participate in an outing or activity. His face became blank as he realized that everybody was right. “I know what I have to do now. Thanks for the advice, Viv,” he said as he slapped some simoleons on the bar and left.

Page 47: Chapter 2.2

Jake rushed home and found his wife on the deck. “Katy, I am so sorry for everything. I am sorry for ignoring your advice, and neglecting Dylan, and being a self centered butthead. Will you forgive me?”Katy stared at him, shocked. “Are you serious?”“Of course I am! I realize that my actions have hurt you and everyone in the family. I need to change…I want to change.”“I forgive you Jake. But, actions speak louder than words.”

Page 48: Chapter 2.2

Saturday morning came, and Dylan excitedly jumped on his bed after making it up. He pretended he was an astronaut in space like the character in one of his video games.

Page 49: Chapter 2.2

Jake even lived up to his word and had an hour long video game session with his son. Dylan loved every minute of it.

Page 50: Chapter 2.2

George slept the day away. He was very old, and even walking outside to use the bathroom was a giant chore for him.

Page 51: Chapter 2.2

So it was no surprise when Grim paid him a visit after playing a tiring game of fetch with Forrest. Forrest was sad to see George go, but he knew that he couldn’t live forever.

Page 52: Chapter 2.2

In a way, he was happy to go with the Grim Reaper.

Page 53: Chapter 2.2

Rest in peace, George the puppy-dog. You never chewed up the furniture, and only peed in the house once. You will definitely be missed.

Page 54: Chapter 2.2

Dylan dealt with his grief by playing more video games. He felt that being distracted was better than thinking about the few short years he had with George.

Page 55: Chapter 2.2

A week later, Jake adopted Taffy for Dylan. He was so happy to see the little kitten in the living room when he came home from school.

Page 56: Chapter 2.2

The elders spent the rest of their golden years soaking in the hot tub and discussing the fact that they haven’t lost their vision yet. They also did a lot of cloud watching and playing chess together.

Page 57: Chapter 2.2

Dylan’s teen birthday came, and his grandparents threw a giant party for him, even though he was a bit nervous about it.“Grandpa, will there be a lot of people coming?”“Oh not really, only five or six. That’s smaller than what we usually have.”“Five or six??” Dylan became nervous. “that’s a lot of people.”

Page 58: Chapter 2.2

Jake played a game of red hands with him to calm him down. He knew Dylan was shy around large crowds. Too bad he kept losing.

Page 59: Chapter 2.2

Soon everyone was gathered around the cake, and cheering him on. Dylan made a wish in his head, and blew out the candles.

Page 60: Chapter 2.2

Dylan grew up into a handsome teen, and the first thing he did was dance when he thought no one was looking. Here is his stats:
