METHOD OF STUDYThe researchers uses descriptive method to gain information regarding the Factors that affects the grade of 2nd year IT students in Batangas State University Malvar Campus.The type of descriptive method use in this research is survey method, In survey method research, participants answer questions administered through interviews or questionnaires. After participants answer the questions, researchers describe the responses given.In order for the survey to be both reliable and valid it is important that the questions are constructed properly. Questions should be written so they are clear and easy to comprehend.

INSTRUMENTS/TECHNIQUE USED

The study uses a checklist, it is used to identify how many students are affected by a certain factor and reasons.

Checklist.The researcher divided the checklist into three parts. The first part is the table which contains the Social Factors why the 2nd year IT students fail; the 2nd table is the 2nd part which contains the Physical Factor; and the 3rd part is the 3rd table which contains the emotional factor that affects the grades of 2nd year IT students. TREATMENT OF DATAAfter gathering the data, total response for each item were get for its total count. In this survey type, a Yes, No, and Maybe scale was use to interpret the total responses of all the respondents.

Descriptive Rating. The checklist has descriptions about the factors that affects the grade of 2nd year IT students in BSU malvar campus. Each descriptions will classify into Yes, No, and Maybe.

Mean. This was used to provide the average response of the respondents to specific factor. Weighted Average. This was used to determine the average weights of the descriptive responses of the respondents to the specific items in the checklist. In particular, it was used to know the perception of the respondents regarding on the Factors that affects the grade of 2nd year IT students in Batangas State University Malvar Campus.

To get the weight for each item, the rate of each descriptive term was multiplied by the assigned weight and divided to the average number of respondents.
