PE TUBE
• PE tube is the abbreviation for “pressure equalizing tube.”
• Small tube surgically placed in a child’s eardrum to assist in drainage of trapped fluid.
• The tube also helps to equalize pressure between the middle ear cavity and the atmosphere.
