The Crowning with Thorns who endured a crown of thorns to win for us a crown of glory: O Lord Jesus Christ, who for our salvation didst lay aside thy crown of glory to accept a crown of thorns: Mercifully grant that we may so live  by the grace thy suffering hath secured that, when thou comest to be our Judge, we may be  placed on thy right hand and receive the crown of life that fadeth not away; who with the Father and the Holy Ghost livest and reignest one God, world without end.  Amen. 4. The Bearing of the Cross who for us endured the cross, despising the shame: Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen. 5. The Crucifixion who for us became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross: Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, who didst stretch out thine arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within reach of thy saving embrace: so clothe us in thy Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may  bring those who do not know thee to the knowledge and love of thee; for the honor of thy  Name, who livest and reignest with the Father and the same Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen. The Resu rrection  who hast conquered sin, hell, and death: O God, who for our redemption didst give thine only-begotten Son to the death of the Cross, and  by his glorious resurrection hast delivered us from the power of our enemy: Grant us so to die daily from sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through the same thy Son Christ our Lord.  Amen.. 2. The Ascension who ascended on high to fill all things: Almighty God, whose blessed Son our Saviour Jesus Christ ascended far above all heavens that he might fill all things: Mercifully give us faith to perceive that according to his promise he abideth with his Church on earth, even unto the end of the world; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen. 3. The Ingathering of the Saints … who gatherest thy saints to thyself: O Almighty God, who hast knit together thine elect in one communion and fellowship, in the mystical body of thy Son Chr ist our Lord: Grant us grace so to follow thy blessed Saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those unspeakable joys which thou hast prepared for them that unfeignedly love thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen. 5. The Crown of Life … who crownest with life them that honor thee: O God, who hast prepared for those who love thee such good things as pass man’s understanding: Pour into our hearts such love toward thee, that we, loving thee above all things, may obtain thy promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
