40 Different Sight Word Chants and Cheers for the
Primary Classroom
Cara Carroll – The First Grade Parade
CHANTSThe following sight word chants and cheers have
been compiled and collected during my last 13 years in the classroom. Many of these chants
and cheers have been around longer than I have been teaching and several of the chants
and cheers were made up by a few of my creative Kindergartners!
Print the cards and laminate for durability.Hole punch the top corner and place on a binder ring for storage. I keep my ring of cheers on a command hook on a shelf in the middle of my classroom so they can be easily accessed for quick review, transition, snack, and whole group activities. Have fun learning and reviewing with your kids, too!
