lar remote I/O system for explosionhazardous areas. This innovative devel-opment is suited for use in zone 1.

The capacitive sensor QF5,5 was devel-oped especially for level and flow ratecontrol. Due to its extremely flat housingit is ideally suited for mounting directlyonto pipes. It is immune to interferenceand has two highly visible LEDs forenhanced control. Injection mouldingtechnology makes this sensor fullyimpermeable.

Hygiene and safety are the two funda-mental requirements associated with themanufacture of food products. The rigor-ous standards in the food industry makehigh demands on process compatibilityand the ability of system components toresist the aggressive cleaning processesin this field.

Inductive dual sensors, housing typeDSC26, for position control of rotaryactuators are perfectly adapted to the

needs of the food industry. They featureresistance to aggressive cleaning agents,pressure jet cleaning and mechanicalstress. Installation of these devices isextremely simple, thus saving cost-intensive mounting time.

TURCK offers a wide range of compo-nents for different fieldbus systems.These are suited to harsh industrialenvironments and guarantee thehighest level of hygiene in the pro-duction process.

The line of inductive sensorsspecially designed for the food

industry exceeds the requirementsof protection class IP68 and IP69K.The robust design with a PVDF frontcap, special Viton seal and stainlesssteel housing makes these sensors,series WD, absolutely impermeable andresistant to coolants and lubricants(including cutting and grinding oils inmachine engineering applications).

Ultrasonic sensors reliably detect liquidlevels even in contaminated environ-ments. The stainless steel housing pro-

Flow controls are designed for moni-toring the flow of coolants in weldingapplications.

The power clamp monitor with BDSpower block monitors open andclosed positions of power clamps andfeatures flexible mounting possibilitiesand full weld-field immunity.

Fieldbus components made by TURCKsupport all important bus systems suchas PROFIBUS-DP and DeviceNet TM,achieve protection to IP67 and excel inversatility. All devices are fully epoxyencapsulated and thus attain these highprotection ratings. The line of modules

includes versions with 4 to 32 I/O ports,thus providing the flexibility necessaryto meet all application needs.

I/O modules, series FLDP, are extremelyrobust. Accessories such as the repeatermodule REP-DP facilitate ease of instal-lation and set-up of networks. Premould-ed cables reduce wiring errors and areavailable in various cable jacket materialssome of which are irradiated and resis-tant to weld splatter. In line with its glob-al policy, TURCK connection products

fulfil all relevant national and internationalstandards.

Especially in the field of mechanical engi-neering, automation tasks can vary consid-erably. As no one machine is exactly likeanother, it is not only a question of offer-ing a comprehensive spectrum of sensor,interface and automation products butalso of flexibility. TURCK takes on all thesenew challenges and develops innovativesolutions. These are then integrated intothe standard TURCK programme.

Pressure controls, type PC-P and PC-M,are designed for monitoring minimumand maximum pressures in tooling ma-chines, presses and many pneumaticand hydraulic systems. Pressure up to600 bar can be monitored.

Inductive sensors manufactured byTURCK are available with a choice ofover 350 housing styles and approxi-mately 5,000 different versions. Theyare highly successful in their specific

tasks offering excellent performanceand reliability, whether its a miniature4 mm picoprox sensor or a sensorwith a base surface of 100 mm.

The magnetoresistive BIM-INR detectsthe piston position on even the smallestround groove cylinders. Despite itsminiature design with a diameter of only3 mm, the sensors efficiency and de-pendability are unrivalled.

Ring sensors are used for small parts

detection, e.g. screws. Like many otherspecial sensors from TURCK, they areindispensable components of manyautomated processes.

Monitoring of rotating or oscillatingmotion is of essential importance inmachine engineering. Complying withthis complex field of automation, TURCKoffers a specialised range of monitoring

devices with various functions and capa-bilities. Customers can choose betweendevices for overspeed or underspeedmonitoring or rotational speed meterswith analogue output. Additionally theprogramme includes special devices fordirection detection or for monitoring theslip between two rotational speeds.

In applications where mounting spaceis limited, yet convenient and secureconnections are imperative, piconet

is the ultimate solution.

Miniature I/O modules with compact8 mm connectors for bus systemssuch as PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet TM orINTERBUS enable connection of up to8 binary or 4 analogue sensors or actu-ators. Due to the systems protectionrating IP67, additional protective meas-ures are not needed. The IP link exten-sion based on fibre optic transmissionallows connection of approximately1,000 I/O under one fieldbusaddress (depending on thefieldbus type).

For monitoring of conveyor belts ormotors, TURCK offers user-friendlydevices which have proven their effi-ciency in many years of application.They are available with a choice offunctions ranging from simple monitor-ing to slip and synchro control.

The PROFIBUS-DP station FLDP-OM8-0001 supports transmission rates ofup to 12 MBd. It is ideally suited toconveyor and other field applications.Owing to a glass-fibre reinforced plastic

housing with encapsulated electronicsand nickel-plated brass connectors,this module is especially robust.

The fieldbus system piconet , is, asits name suggests, extremely compactand compatible with PROFIBUS-DP,INTERBUS, ControlNet and Ethernet.
