Dear Parents,

Sub: Change in Issue Dates of School Needs & Also Re-opening Dates - Reg.

Greetings from St. Johns Public School, Chennai!

Hope and pray that you as a family had wonderful days during the school holidays, and especially

children enjoyed the holidays with family, friends and fun. The On-set of the month of JUNE

would have given all at home the sense of Back To School to be reminded of the journey of schooling. Especially the Tiny Tots would have given the added excitement for all the members @

home as they begin their schooling either at Pre-KG or LKG. We, at SJPS are equally excited to

receive the season and the spirit of schooling through our children who are already schooling in

SJPS, and eager to know more about the New Children who are to join us from other schools.

For your kind information, the whole administrative team under my Stewardship, including the

Principal and Dean worked through the Holidays, to get the school prepared for the

commencement of the 4th

Academic Year (2015 2016). The school needs being procured from different sources are just reaching our campus. The newly Recruited Teachers too had

reported ahead of the existing Teachers and underwent their PRE-SERVICE ORIENTATION

PROGRAMMME on 27th

, 28th

& 29th

of May 2015. The whole Team of SJPS faculty

(together), around 130 of them, underwent the ANNUAL ORIENTATION PROGRAMME on

the Theme Purposeful Schooling on 1st, 2nd and 3rd June 2015.

It is becoming too important and unavoidable that Members of Teaching Faculty need 2 more

days to get them trained under TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SYSTEM and INTEGRATED

APPROACH in Teaching. As we need to depend on the Outsourced Service Provider we are

compelled to have it only on 5th

and 6th

June 2015, as per their availability.

In the above circumstances, as we need to hold the Teaching Faculty for 2 more days of

Academic Preparation, we are not able to divert them to the administrative work of sorting out

and issuing Text-Books, Note Books and the School Uniform on 5th

and 6th

June 2015 as

planned and intimated earlier.

Owing to the above reason we are compelled to change the Issue Dates of School Needs to

Monday the 8th

and Tuesday the 9th

June 2015 instead of 5th

& 6th

June 2015.

However, there is no change in Pre-KG Opening date, and they open on Monday the 15th June of 2015.

Also please note, since the Sports Wear and Brown Shoes require Specific Individual Measurements

to check and Issue, these items, (Pair of Shoes, 3 Pairs of Socks, & one set of Sports Wear) will be

issued, in the classrooms through the Physical Education Department, after Re-opening.

We regret for the inconvenience caused, and we too are disappointed just as the children will be

disappointed.

We are happy to share with you all that St. Johns Public School has become a full-fledged SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL as the CBSE, New Delhi has sanctioned upgraded status to that effect-

vide their official communication dated 30.04.2015. We have also started enrolling students to

both Science and Commerce Streams with wide variety of subject options kept open to the

applicants. We have also associated with AAKASH INSTITUTE to provide XI & XII Classroom

Integrated JEE IIT and AIPMT Programmes in our campus. Not only our SJPS students, but also aspiring students from more than 40 schools have applied to find a place in our New Batch of

Class XI which begins from Monday, the 22nd

June 2015.

Our First Batch of Class X- Results

Happy to inform you all that Our First Batch of Class X students have performed well in their

All India Secondary Examination of CBSE, New Delhi. All of them have been declared

PASS, scoring satisfactory Percentiles and registering 100% Pass Percentage.

Ms. M. TEJASHREE has emerged as the School Topper, clearing with Full Percentage of

10 CGPA.
